This project consisted of demolition and rehabilitation of the Standifer Avenue Trunk Sewer due to a partial pipe collapse that occurred on the trunk line on Standifer Ave. The project included replacement of the existing 36" RCP trunk main with new 42" PVC main averaging depths of 25-FT.
Dixie Overland Construction completed the demolition and removal of a 100’ long 54” concrete flume and installed two new 54” HDPE pipes for lateral storage to increase the holding capacity of the Greggton-Longview Sewer Pump Station.
The Haughton Waste Water Treatment Plant Improvement consisted of extensive dirt work, construction of equalization facilities inside active storage basins, new process basins for sludge processing and chlorination, and a full aeration basin demo and rehab.
This project consisted of doubling the sludge storage capacity at the City of Shreveport Sludge Farm. This facility provides final sludge treatment for the wastewater treatment process
The Southern Trace Lift Station in the City of Shreveport was rehabbed including complete piping removal and replacement and connection of a new bypass connection on the discharge forcemain.
Dixie Overland Construction facilitated and executed an emergency repair for the City of Monroe, LA on an active 42” sewer force main valve failure. Work included isolating the line and cutting out and replacing a 42” valve and reconnecting to the active force main.
DOC was contracted to perform stabilization work on the Poverty Point Reservoir Dam that included building a sheet pile wall and pile cap with helical slope anchors and re-sloping and establishing erosion control turf and rock covering. This project followed an emergency sheet pile installation project where DOC was contracted to install sheet piles to mitigate a sloping section of dam and roadway.
The project involves upgrading lift stations at multiple buildings, including replacing pumps, control panels, and float systems, along with electrical work and new construction for lift station buildings. It also includes the installation of a duplex grinder pump station, water main replacement, abandonment of old infrastructure, fire hydrant replacements, and the addition of a generator.
DOC successfully completed the installation of a Dunlex booster pump assembly, a bolted steel ground storage tank with a glass-fused steel coating, and a well discharge assembly. Additional work included the installation of a propane generator, automatic transfer switch, and necessary electrical and control systems. The project also involved extensive site work, including clearing, grading, and access drive construction, as well as the installation of triplex filter assemblies and associated piping, valves, and instrumentation.
Dixie Overland completed the initial rehabilitation of Final Clarifier No. 2, including dewatering the foundation, draining the structure, and removing failed parts and obstructions for proper disposal. DOC handled site dewatering to control water levels and hydrostatic pressure, ensuring the structure is safely drained. The clarifier was put back into service once initial work was completed.
