Poverty Point Dam Repair

Poverty Point World Heritage Site is a U.S. National Monument, and a U.S. National Historic Landmark located near Delhi, La.

DOC was contracted to perform stabilization work on the Poverty Point Reservoir Dam that included building a sheet pile wall and pile cap with helical slope anchors and re-sloping and establishing erosion control turf and rock covering. This project followed an emergency sheet pile installation project where DOC was contracted to install sheet piles to mitigate a sloping section of dam and roadway.
